Psalm 119_17-24 (Part 3 of 22)

The Lord God of Israel's Word:  Psalm 119:17-24

Deal bountifully with Your servant, That I may live and keep Your word.

Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.

I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me.

My soul breaks with longing For Your judgments at all times.

You rebuke the proud—the cursed, Who stray from Your commandments.

Remove from me reproach and contempt, For I have kept Your testimonies.

Princes also sit and speak against me, But Your servant meditates on Your statutes.

Your testimonies also are my delight And my counselors.

Our Response:

Dear Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name and the name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.  We come to you Father in Jesus' name.  We thank You Lord that You deal bountifully with us as Your servants and children.  We live because of You and we desire to keep Your Word.

Open our spiritual eyes Lord that we may see learn and understand the wonders of Your Word.

We are strangers to this fallen earth Lord.  Keep Your commandments continuously before our eyes Lord.

We long for Your great and good works Lord. We thank You that You do not rebuke us as we remain humble in Your presence Lord, and cease to disobey Your commandments.

You remove us from Your reproach and contempt, for we strive to keep Your testimonies.

Men of the world may persecute us in Your name, but we continue to meditate on Your statutes

Your Word O'Lord is beautiful and wonderful to us.  Our hearts are full.

We glorify You Lord Jesus, and pray this in Your name.  Amen.
